In the sack, Plies lets it be known. He is a minute man. I wonder how this would play out with the ladies, because I think most women want a man that can make sweet love. Not Plies.
Chamillionaire isn’t riding dirty anymore. He’s now an entrepreneur-in-residence for Upfront Ventures, an investment firm.
In a written letter by Upfront Ventures’ investment partner Mark Suster, he detailed how his relationship with Chamillionaire began and how the “Hip Hop Police” rapper is flourishing into quite the entrepreneur. The Houston spitter caught Suster’s eye after a 2009 speech about social media engagement in the music industry. He has since put his rapping days behind him and is now involved in startup companies.
A few years back he started many mini investments in tech firms with Suster, which led to Cham wanting to becoming more involved with the tech start up world.
“A while back Chamillionaire started telling me he wanted to immerse himself even more in the tech world – learning to build products, studying different business models and committing himself to being a true tech entrepreneur,” Suster wrote. “Chamillionaire has a way more refined sense of what customer behavior is like than most ivy league graduates with nice Powerpoint slides that I meet.”
Now as an entrepreneur-in-residence for the next several months, Chamillionaire is soaking up knowledge about start ups and is also advising Upfront Ventures along with his business partner and producer Nsilo Reddick.
“And while Cham is always the guy on stage blowing away the audience, Nsilo has always been the quiet, reflective guy in the background with all the answers,” Suster said. “They make a great pair.”
I knew there was something going on when dude sent K. Michelle a bunch of sunflowers when she was in the hospital. It has now been revealed that Safaree is seeing the big booty singer. I think K’s booty might be bigger than Nicki’s boulder butt. They previously also had spent the Valentine’s Day holiday together. I guess they are seeing other people, but what does that mean? This is just a damn silly fake reality show romance to get people talking. AND IT WORKS!
But. Yeah. With Meek and Nicki on a world tour, not a lot is taking away from their shine.

His brother and co-star Chance revealed that Real has died.
“I’ll see you one day soon we shall dance again in God’s kingdom forever and ever bro words can’t describe my pain world pray for me,” Chance posted online.
The sibling said that his brother took a bad fall and was limited to a bed, according to a TMZ report.
He died on Friday after having difficulty seeing and speaking.
Real had Stage 4 cancer and had been doing much better after getting treatment since 2013.
Tyga has been in the news for the past week. The California rapper continues his run as headline fodder thanks to an interview with Hot 97. Tyga’s Fan of a Fan: The Album collaborator Chris Brown took part in the sit down as well, and the two entertainers were asked about their respective issues with Drake.
“We’re not getting no check from talking about dude. We’re giving him all this pub. We’re us,” said Brown about Drake. “I can’t keep making these motherf**kers famous. I’m responsible for reviving a lot of careers.”
Brown then did an impression of Drake. Both he and Tyga mentioned there are a lot of people in the industry they see as not being genuine.
“People can camouflage,” stated Tyga when asked if he and Drake were ever friends.
Besides his rift with Drake, Tyga has had to face questions about his relationship with 17-year-old Kylie Jenner. Tyga publicly stated he is not dating the member of the Kardashian family, but he did address his affectionate social media posts directed at Jenner.
“I do it for myself. I speak what I feel in my heart, and if I wanna express that, I’m gonna express that at that time. If I wanna express it later in life, I’m gonna do it later,” Tyga said. “I just feel like it’s nobody’s business.”
The conversation turned to Kanye West’s recent The Breakfast Club interview where the G.O.O.D. Music leader apparently let it slip that Tyga was in love with Kylie. Chris jokingly responded by saying, “Kanye, hold us down playa. You’re Black. Shut the f**k up.”
Tyga also addressed Ye’s comments. He added, “If I love her and I love her as a person, then that’s me. Ain’t nobody else got to worry about that.”
Kanye West had the Internet talking today after the Chicago rapper had some choice words to say about his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose. West went on The Breakfast Club and responded to Amber calling his wife Kim Kardashian fake.
During the interview Kanye said, “It’s very hard for a woman to wanna be with someone that’s been with Amber Rose… I had to take thirty showers before I got with Kim.”
Peter Rosenberg from Power’s rival station Hot 97 decided to address Ye’s comments. The radio personality started by saying he is a fan of Kanye’s music, but then he went on to defend his close friend Amber.
“I get defending your family. I don’t think the route to do that is to trash someone we know you were in love with,” said Rosenberg. “We all lived it. Y’all just gonna forget? I saw the Kanye West national crying tour. Do you guys not remember the crying tour?”
Rosenberg also took issue with Ye for trashing the woman he believes inspired the artist’s best album – My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The Ebro In The Morning co-host then referred to Amber Rose as “one of the best human beings you will ever meet in life.”
Watch Peter Rosenberg discuss Kanye West and Amber Rose in the video below.

“‘Old English’ will be on there as well as some stuff with Freddie Gibbs, Problem, E-40 – some of the OGs, some of the new jacks,” Silva told AllHipHop. “MPA Shitro is on there and the kid Paul Fisher from San Antonio. I try to basically get some unknowns to do some s**t, then get some OGs.”

Kanye West returned to The Breakfast Club for an hour-long conversation with hosts DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God.
The rapper/fashion designer addressed numerous topics including his statements about Beck’s Grammy win, his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose, the rumored relationship between his sister-in-law Kylie Jenner and Tyga, his upcoming film project featuring the Minister Louis Farrakhan, and a possible collaborative effort with Drake.
On the Beck Grammy controversy:
The other day I went to dinner with Taylor Swift. Ironically, they were playing the Beck album… Maybe they did it on purpose, so I could finally hear it. I was like, “Man this is kinda good”… Nah, I hadn’t even heard it [when I said Beyoncé should have won the Grammy for Album Of The Year]…
The Grammys still have a commercial component to it, and they wanna sell commercials. So they have these big superstars sitting in the audience and advertising their performing next to get views. You don’t have these people sitting here and having their hearts beating. We work too hard to deal with all that. We ain’t got time to be losing in a situation. Cause who’s winning? We ain’t getting none of that advertising money. That was my main point.
We know there’s racist people. We know a lot of White men over the age of 60 are racist. We embrace that. We know that a lot of people that are in power, they’re like [former Los Angeles Clippers owner] Donald Sterling. We understand that, but the world is moving. Ten, twenty years from now every person of color, female, or any minority that comes into power will eventually shift it.
On Amber Rose:
She’s just soaking in the moment. Nobody is compelled to do nothing [in response to Amber’s criticism of Kim Kardashian]. If Kim had dated me when I first wanted to be with her, there wouldn’t be an Amber Rose…
It’s very hard for a woman to wanna be with someone that’s been with Amber Rose… I had to take thirty showers before I got with Kim.
On Tyga and Kylie Jenner:
I think he got in early. I think he was smart… They’re closer in age than a lot of relationships that I know.
On Minister Farrakhan:
I actually asked for the Minister to give me my BET Visionary Award. He felt like it wasn’t the right time. Right now I’m working on a documentary with him, about him, and about his music. He’s a classically trained violinist…
In the same way my wife got stamped with a sex tape, the Minister was stamped with [bigotry], and it’s important that while he’s still alive he sees the people appreciate his message. If you ever hear him talk, it’s about humanity, it’s about one race…
The documentary shows he had a White violin instructor. He talked about how because he was Black he couldn’t get the White instructor, and there was no Black instructors that could instruct him well enough. He talks about how he was asked to stop doing music. He had to choose between The Nation [of Islam] and music…
It’s a beautiful story about a beautiful soul that’s very misunderstood, and one of our most powerful messengers. It’s very important we protect and support our messengers.
On possible joint album with Drake:
I’m just gonna go ahead and say it, because maybe this will promote it happening. The “Wolves” song came from a conversation that me and Drake had where we was gonna do an album together. The album is called Wolves…
Me and Jay Z started talking about Watch The Throne, and Drake went and did all the records with Wayne and did the tour, and we never did [the Wolves album.] But I just put it in the ether, out in the world. Y’all don’t like it, then y’all can send it right back.
Kanye also announced his next solo album is 80% done and likely will drop as a “surprise” release. The so far untitled project will address social topics. He also squashed rumors his wife Kim K and Beyoncé do not get along.

One of the big questions surrounding Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Latewas whether the project was a mixtape or an album. According to a report by HipHopDX, IYRTITL is an official album and will count as part of the contractual agreement with his record label Cash Money Records.
Kyle “KP” Reilly of Datpiff.com confirmed the information in a statement to the website. He also revealed the original plan was for the project to be a free mixtape, but a clash with Drake’s label led to If You’re Reading This being a retail release.
“Originally we were in talks to release it for free… and have DJ Drama host and even make it an official Gangsta Grillz… however the label was not in favor of that and they struck an agreement to release the project the retail route and it would count towards one of his albums,” said Reilly. “It was a mutual decision since he wanted to give it away. They [the label] said, ‘Hell no,’ not in those words, so they ‘agreed’ to do it this way as a middle ground and it would count towards his Cash Money deal album total. The label had zero input or creative control over If Youre Reading This Its Too Late.”
Troy Ave is preparing to release his album Major Without A Deal, but it appears the Brooklyn rhymer could actually have a major label deal in the near future.
“My goal is to get a joint venture like the Bad Boys, the Roc-A-Fellas, the Murders Incs, Ruff Ryders. I’m gonna do that, cause I’m from New York and I’m a young boss,” Troy reveals to Hot 97. “It’s all types of six-figure deals, but I ain’t bust a move yet. It ain’t no rush to bust a move, because we’re putting out dope records.”
There had been reports Troy was close to signing with T.I.’s Grand Hustle imprint. The “All About The Money” rapper explains that he and Tip are working together.
“T.I.’s the home team. We’re putting plays together behind the scenes,” states Troy. “T.I. is definitely influential in everything I do, but I got the number one independent label in the streets -BSB Records.”
Tip spoke about his connection with Troy on The Breakfast Club last October. The Atlanta native discussed why he respects Troy Ave’s approach to building his brand on his own.
“I will say he is definitely closely associated [with Grand Hustle]. The business part of it – we’re still working that part out,” T.I. said. “I respect him a lot for this – he’s making it a point to say, ‘Hey listen, I got to get a certain amount of the groundwork done myself.’ He don’t wanna just come in and have us do everything.”
Bobbi Kristina Brown is still in a medically induced coma at Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital. According to CNN, doctors have decided to remove the 21-year-old’s breathing tube.
A family source tells USA Today the procedure is not any indication on the decision to take Brown off the life support ventilator. The breathing tube is removed to prevent the patient from getting an infection.
“If the expectation is she’s going to be on for weeks, months – who knows how long, the best way to deliver oxygen to the lungs is through the tracheostomy,” Lenox Hill Hospital’s Dr. Jordan S. Josephson tells USA Today. “It’s a protective measure. There may be a slight scar, but in most cases that’s it.”
Tracheostomy refers to the hole left in the throat after a surgical procedure to create a direct airway to the windpipe. Dr. Josephson says this will not affect Brown’s ability to speak.
CNN sources reveal doctors are attempting to slowly lift Brown from the coma. There has been no official update to her medical status, but Bobbi Kristina’s aunt Leolah Brown has stated her niece is doing better.
“There are so many signs showing us that she will be okay, despite what people are saying over the Internet,” Leolah said.
Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of musical artists Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her home on January 31. She was later taken to the hospital.
Gerald Rivera went and pissed off Uncle Russell Simmons.
The Def Jam founder took exception to recent comments made by Geraldo that claimed rap music has harmed Black and Brown people that racism.
“Geraldo, the prison industrial complex got people so twisted,” Simmons told TMZ. “For 40 years, they’ve been locking up diseased drug addicts, educating them on criminal behavior and dumping them back in the hood. The poetry and the reflection [in hip-hop] are what come from that jail culture; that’s obvious…The media is really dumb to let that man [speak]. He needs to be progressive and do good work to help people. And now he’s a talking head.”
On Huff Po Live, Geraldo said, “Hip-hop has done more damage to black and brown people than racism in the last 10 years.”
“And I love Russell Simmons,” Geraldo continued. “He’s a dear friend of mine. I admire his business acumen. At some point, those guys have to cop to the fact that by encouraging this distinctive culture that is removed from the mainstream, they have encouraged people to be so different from the mainstream that they can’t participate other than, you know, the racks in the garment center and those entry-level jobs, and I lament it. I really do. I think that it has been very destructive culturally.”
Not sharing in the affection, Simmons took the time to send one last dagger at the Fox News contributor.
“He lost on ‘[Celebrity] Apprentice,’ man, I can’t respect that,” Russell said. “After losing he needs to just talk. He needs to get himself relevant.”
If you’ve been sleeping on Brooklyn rapper Theophilus London and ATL’s own Father, and just happened to be in DC earlier this week, you should go to a small corner and weep, because they both turned up beautifully in the city. The two artists performed at U Street Music Hall downtown, and even though the venue was fairly small, they still manage to get the crowd pumped when it counted. Father came on stage, performing a few classics from his acclaimed project Young Hot Ebony and a new track from his upcoming EP. London came on after, and killed his performance with a live band. The show ended with the crowd forming a mosh pit to Father’s hit “Look At Wrist”. Check out our recap of the show below.

Wiz Khalifa is apparently looking to get custody of his son with Amber Rose changed. Taylor Gang’s leader is said to be close to filing paperwork to get more time with nearly two-year-old Sebastian.
According to TMZ, part of Wiz’s legal presentation will include photographs that prove Amber has the child in unhealthy living conditions. The website posted photos showing dog feces on a patio, a knife laying out on a counter, and trash cans overrun with garbage.
The estranged married couple has been going through a very public dispute. Wiz and Amber have used social media to send subtle responses back-and-forth.

New Orleans native Turk is increasing the legal pressure on his former record label Cash Money. Turk filed a lawsuit against the company for unpaid finances earlier this month, and now the “Wodie” rapper has recently served a new summons to Cash Money as well.
According to legal documents attained by AllHipHop.com, Turk has filed paperwork against Cash Money and Money Mack Music requiring the defendants to respond to the pending lawsuit. Cash Money and Money Mack have 21 days to contact Turk’s attorney concerning the complaint.
“If they don’t answer by March 11, it will be declared a default judgement,” Turk informs AllHipHop.
Turk’s lawsuit accuses Cash Money of failing to pay the performer any advances, royalties, artist royalties, or music publishing for his recordings released by the label. He is seeking damages of at least $1.3 million.
Shot 97 host Star was apparently scheduled to speak with a member of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family about the 21-year-old’s medical condition. A man that identified himself as Bobby Brown’s nephew Shayne called into Star’s show, but once on the air the guest refused to speak about his cousin.
“I’m not gonna answer no questions about Bobbi Kristina. I’m answering questions about the family brawl, the family tension,” says Shayne Brown. “So if you don’t wanna touch that topic, then we can end the conversation.”
There were reports family members got into a fight earlier this month at an Atlanta hotel. Shayne’s mother, Tina, allegedly hit him in the head with a bottle. Star appeared uninterested in addressing that particular issue.
“I think we should end the conversation, and you should f**k off,” Star tells Shayne. “And f**k your b***h ass uncle. I never gave a f**k about him. How dare you call me about your family. We just wanna see your family shooting and fighting. Is Bobbi Kristina still on the machine or she’s not? It’s on TMZ. The f**k are you talking about you don’t wanna discuss it?”
The conversation turned to Shayne issuing threats. Star then suggests Shayne and his mother where fighting over crack cocaine. Brown eventually tells the host, “I will see you.”

The Department of Justice is likely not to pursue civil rights violation charges against former Ferguson, Missouri police officer Darren Wilson for the killing of teenager Michael Brown, but CNN reports U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is preparing to bring a lawsuit against the Ferguson PD.
Results of a DOJ investigation into the death of Brown is expected to reveal a pattern of discrimination by Ferguson police. The potential lawsuit against the department could move forward unless the Ferguson PD changes the racially discriminatory tactics on its own. The feds could request court supervision over the department’s involvement with the local minority community.
“I have received nothing new,” Ferguson Chief Thomas Jackson told CNN. “Everything they suggested in the past has been reasonable and we have tried to comply.”
When Lil’ Wayne tweeted that he wanted off Cash Money Records, he shook up hip-hop. He called that record label home since his pre-teen years and fans were shocked that there was trouble in such a seemingly harmonious business and personal relationship. Wayne shocked us more when he slapped Birdman with a $51 million lawsuit over unpaid advances and the stalling of the Tha Carter V. Now, Wayne has broken his silence.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, he spoke on the drama with the man who formerly referred to as his daddy. Weezy said they are not speaking right now. “I have no words,” he said. “I’m super-numb to it, to tell you the truth.”
The Young Money captain also further confirmed that Tha Carter V is done and that he is still eager to release it but can’t. “It’s super-done,” he said. “Cake baked, icing on top, name on top, candles lit. I would have released it yesterday if I could. But it’s a dead subject right now. It’s a jewel in the safe. It’s that stash-house money.”
Earlier this month, Wayne revealed via Twitter that he would be dropping a free project, The Free Weezy Album, to keep fans satisfied until the wait for The Carter V is over. The album, which he is putting in 12-hour shifts to record, will be released in March.
“I’m working on it every day, man,” said the 32-year-old. “I guarantee it’s going to be something dope. If you don’t want a musician being creative, don’t get The Free Weezy Album.”
Wayne also spoke on his previous comments about retirement. “I’ve thought about it,” he said. “But for a person like me that bleeds, eats, sleeps and shits music, it’s hard to do.”
Unfortunately, Iggy Azalea has been plagued with Twitter drama throughout her career. Besides the fact that she often uses her 140 characters to respond to critics and haters, the “Goddess” rapper is often sent less than nice tweets that slam her music, her outfits and anything else that trolls feel like attacking her for. The 24-year-old has also clapped back at fellow celebs who have critiqued or ridiculed her including Azealia Banks, Eve, Jill Scott, Q-Tip, Tyler the Creator and many others. Her mentor, T.I recently, said that he wants her to stop responding to the haters by venting on her timeline and his wish is coming true. Iggy has quit Twitter, saying all the negativity she endures is changing her for the worse.
